Every year, New York's Museum of Modern Art shows a film fest of recent Brazilian imports. As always, music fans have a reason to take note; the big draw this year will be July 17 and 19 screenings of "Noitada de samba foco de resistencia". It documents the political foment at Teatro Opinião over 13 years and 617 performances. Other features of interest include an unusual documentary on Santos Dumont as a proto-filmmaker.
The full schedule is included in the press release.
